Roommates Celebrate Alumni Green

Alumni Green

College roommates and friendships play a leading role in memories of SDSU. For five SDSU alumni, their trips back to campus will be even more special thanks to a permanent reminder of that time honored on the Alumni Green.

Just in time for Hobo Day of their senior year, fundraising for the Alumni Green was nearing its goal. Roommates Erin Foth, Rebecca Woytassek, Abby Flanery, Katie Lucas, and Kirsten Barott wanted to take part in the celebration and leave a bit of their own legacy behind. They opted to gift a plaque for the Green, honoring their bond as roommates and their passion for SDSU. “The Alumni Green provides a great opportunity for past, present, and future Jackrabbits to join together and celebrate the accomplishments of South Dakota State University,” Foth said. “As roommates, we have already enjoyed the Alumni Green project for various events, and we look forward to our experiences there as alumni. Knowing we are a component of something that symbolizes the growing momentum of our university is special to us.”

After becoming a donor to the university as a student, Foth is now raising money for her alma mater as a Loyalty Giving Officer at the SDSU Foundation.
